I also have the Inreach Mini, and it does work great. The earthmate app is great to use even on it’s own without the device. But yes, a bit pricey to buy at first and the yearly fee and monthly subscription fees add up. But it’s small, light, and works great. It’s small enough that you can clip it anywhere on your pack and forget that it’s there, and in the event your phone dies you can still have the comfort of the SOS button on the device if an emergency occurs.
